Once the tags are produced, you'll receive an email to go to your local county assessor to pick up your tag. We're estimating ninety days. Your tag number will be assigned at the county (tag numbers can't be chosen during this purchase process).

For this first batch, this fee will let you go down to the county assessor and swap out your existing tag for the specialty tag. if you happen to be getting a brand new tag at the same time as this, this is just your specialty fee on top of your normal tag fee. That would let you choose this tag instead of a plain one.
